Activating Missional Movement In Your Church

  • Legacy Church

"Activating Missional Movement In Your Church"

When I think of what it takes to mobilize movements, I think it comes down to understanding, activating, shaping, and participating in the inherent potentials of the people of God. I always remind myself that every church has everything it needs to get its job done: we have the life-transforming message of the gospel, the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the blessing of the Father, and a communitas of people called to be a witnessing ecclesia in a given place. And as we’ve seen, this ecclesia — or at least the possibility of ecclesia — is in everyone (seed → forest; spark → fire). The church of Jesus is perfectly designed for world transformation. We are meant to be a high-impact people-movement. When we aren’t being that, then I suspect it’s something we are doing that is blocking this potential.

Join us for a 1-Day Training with Alan Hirsch to explore how you can activate a missional movement in your church. Alan will also help us understand the paradigms that block our ability for movement.

Embracing Your Sentness

  • Irving Bible Church

A Forge Dallas 1 Day w/ Kim Hammond

There are two competing postures for the people of God today: a church of consumers, demanding goods and services, and a church of missionaries, sent and sending into the world. These compete for the minds of Christians. Every church functions according to one or the other. Every disciple stands on these two foundations for life, two theological bases for making decisions, two postures that shape all we do: selling or sending.

At this event, Kim Hammond will lead us in exploring these two very different postures and he will give us some practical ways to break away from the things holding you and your church back from living in fullness and sentness.

Kim Hammond is a husband, father, follower of Jesus, Pastor, International Director of Forge America & Director of Missional Imagination for Community Christian Church and New Thing Network. Kim is a clock builder, mentor, motivator and mobilizer of missionary leaders & their movements. He is co-author of the book Sentness: Six Postures of Missional Christians.

Forge Dallas 1-Day Training - APEST

  • Irving Bible Church

Activating Movement Through Missional Leadership (APEST)

The missional conversation has seen quite an upsurge in the past few years. And while there seem to be different voices shaping the conversation, there is one thing we can all agree on: you cant be a missional church without missional forms of ministry. The book of Ephesians, written to a missional movement identifies what those missional forms of ministry are. Join us for a one day intensive with Tim Catchim, co-author with Alan Hirsch of The Permanent Revolution to explore how the fivefold ministries of APEST equip the church to fulfill its missional calling.
